Are all your items authentic vintage pieces?

Yes, all the items in our shop are genuine vintage pieces sourced from various locations. We take pride in curating a collection that reflects the charm and character of bygone eras.

What's with the name The Smith Henry?

Glad you asked. It has something to do with a coffee chop, a street, and having three daughters. But check out the story in our About section.

How do you ensure the quality of your vintage items?

We carefully inspect each item for quality and authenticity before adding it to our inventory. We're pretty good at researching and identifying and are always excited to learn something new!

Can I request specific vintage items that are not currently available in your shop?

Absolutely! We love hearing from our customers and fulfilling special requests whenever possible. Feel free to contact us with details of the item you're looking for, and we'll do our best to source them for you.

Can I sell my vintage items through your shop?

We're always interested in expanding our collection with unique vintage finds. If you have vintage items you'd like to sell, please contact us with details and photos, and we'll be happy to discuss consignment options.

Do you rent out any of your items?

Yes! Sometimes folks approach us to rent out a unique piece of furniture for a photoshoot, wedding, party, etc. Other times we've loved partnering with folks to supply interesting items to help with their themed events. Whether it's an 80s party you're looking to add some character to, or a Mad Men inspired work party, we've got you covered. If you're curious about our rental arrangements, please contact us with what you're looking for! Also, it's a dream of Johnpaul's to have one our artwork or furniture items appear in a movie. Are your vintage items cleaned or refurbished?

This is hot topic and one with varied opinions. However, for us, it's simple. We love things that are original. We'd much prefer a few character marks on an original stain over a sanded down makeover - we believe in preserving the original integrity of vintage items, so we typically avoid extensive cleaning or refurbishment. With that said, we do ensure that each item is presented in its best possible condition without compromising its authenticity.

Do you have a storefront?

Technically, no. However, we converted our garage space into a "shop" of sorts and love hosting visitors by appointment only to checkout the showroom. If that's something you're interested in, consider making an appointment.

Do you deliver?

Depending on the item and your location, we are happy to deliver for a fee. Usually a local delivery within the greater Seattle area runs between $75-$125. If this is something you're interested in, please reach out to us and we will provide a quote.

Shipping & Returns

Is everything on the site able to be shipped?

Not everything. The furniture and awkwardly large items are only available for pickup (or local delivery). With that said, if you see an item you absolutely must own and it's not available for shipping, we will gladly allow you to arrange shipping yourself. Just let us know!

Do you offer international shipping?

Sadly, we aren't ready to teleport our goodies around the globe just yet. Our treasures are only available for shipping to all 50 US States - for now.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Given the nature of these items, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Please ensure that you are fully satisfied with your purchase before completing the transaction. Also, please feel free to contact us to ask us questions about any of our items prior to purchasing.
