Set of 9 early Herman Miller Eames fiberglass stacking side chairs, likely dating to the late 1950s to early 1960s. These feature the iconic parchment fiberglass shells with original H-base stacking frames, retaining a beautiful warm patina and age appropriate wear throughout. The undersides are marked “Temple Oheb Shalom,” tracing their provenance to a historic Jewish temple in Pennsylvania, where they were used for decades before being acquired.
A hard-to-find matching group with strong character. Seven chairs retain the original silver/metal glides, while two examples feature the white feet variation. The shells show the rich fiber texture and natural aging that make early Herman Miller fiberglass pieces so desirable.
Great as a full dining set, for a studio or gallery space, or split into smaller groupings. They have that classic lived-in mid-century look that works almost anywhere.
