An absolute Scandinavian dream. This rare 5-bay “Ergo” wall unit by John Texmon, produced by Blindheim Møbelfabrikk in Norway in the 1960s, is such a perfect example of thoughtful mid-century design.
The system features adjustable ladder-style uprights with floating shelves, sleek cabinets, and a great mix of storage, including drawers, sliding doors, and drop-front compartments (bar and desk). It’s incredibly functional but still feels light and architectural thanks to Texmon’s signature proportions and that beautiful warm teak tone.
Fully modular and endlessly reconfigurable, it can work as a statement bookcase, media wall, bar setup, or even a full home office system. It’s substantial in scale, but visually clean and sculptural.
A museum-worthy vintage piece that’s just as practical as it is iconic, and finding one with 5 bays in this condition is incredibly rare.
