An exceptionally rare Adrian Pearsall Model 1600-S “Boomerang” sectional sofa, designed in the 1960s for Craft Associates. A true statement piece, this iconic design features Pearsall’s unmistakable sculptural silhouette, floating walnut plinth base, and dramatic asymmetrical chaise configuration. The long, low profile and angular lines feel just as striking and relevant today as they did mid-century.
It’s my understanding that the sofa was professionally reupholstered in the early 2000s in a beautifully textured cream fabric (zoom in on photos) which has held up remarkably well. The walnut frame presents beautifully with rich tone and grain throughout. Overall, the piece is in excellent vintage condition with only light, age-appropriate wear.
An incredibly hard-to-find example of one of Pearsall’s most sought-after designs. Perfect for collectors and anyone looking for a true centerpiece sofa.
