After doing some research, I learned the following about Mabel:
“Mabel was a manager for the Singer Sewing Machine Company for many years. She also was a renowned local artist known to many for her beautiful paintings of pansies. She was often referred to as ''The Pansy Lady''. She was a member of Gallery North, Edmonds, WA, and Seattle League of Arts. She was a wonderful gardener and took great pride in her beautiful flowers. Often people would stop their cars in front of her house to admire the beautiful flower beds. Another of her passions was refinishing furniture. She could make a piece of old furniture look brand new again.”
