This vintage Italian gentleman’s valet chair by SPQR is equal parts sculpture and utility. Designed to keep tomorrow’s outfit organized, it features a jacket hanger, trouser bar, valet tray, woven rush seat, and a place to sit while lacing up your shoes.
Even if you’re not laying out a three-piece suit every evening, it’s an incredibly handsome piece for a bedroom, dressing room, or walk-in closet. The sculpted walnut frame has beautiful proportions, brass hardware, and retains its original SPQR “Made in Italy” label.
They just don’t make everyday objects with this much personality anymore.
One of those rare pieces that’s equally fun to look at and genuinely useful.
Condition: This valet chair remains wonderfully original and has developed a beautiful patina over the years. The frame shows expected vintage wear and age-related marks. As pictured, there is one area where the original woven rush seat has begun to lift. It remains fully usable and presents well, but buyers should expect honest vintage wear rather than a restored piece.
