This sculptural floor lamp channels classic space age styling with its minimalist arc and chrome “eyeball” shade. The mirrored dome pivots to direct light where needed and sits atop a slender brass stem that bends gracefully from a wide U-shaped steel base (easily removable). At over 5 feet tall with a long reach, it’s substantial enough to serve as a primary reading or accent light.
Maker unknown, but the design is consistent with late 1960s to early ’70s European production similar in spirit to pieces by Goffredo Reggiani or Robert Sonneman. A nice example of space age form with a pared-down, clean industrial edge.
