Vintage mid-century gate leg double drop-leaf dining table by Leslie Diamond for the Conant Ball Modernmates line. The design is straightforward and functional, crafted entirely from solid birch with excellent joinery. Its drop-leaf construction makes it adaptable to different spaces, and it can be used with one or both leaves extended.
Overall, this table is in great original vintage condition. There’s a small spot with a slight waviness to the surface. However, the joinery remains tight and stable throughout, a testament to Conant Ball’s craftsmanship. Unlike some comparable solid-wood designs from the same era, which often develop separation at the seams, these pieces have held together remarkably well over time.
An awesome versatile table especially smart for smaller spaces.
